Athena enjoyed every moment of Richard kissing her back, butterflies fluttering slightly in her stomach. When he pulled away, she fell forward slightly, but she caught herself before it was too noticeable. "No, Rich, you don't need to go. You can stay here." She smiled slightly, grabbing at his fingers. She didn't want him to leave the room, his presence made her feel...different. But Athena hadn't yet figured out what that 'different' feeling was. Adjusting herself again into a sitting position, she pulled her wings tight to her back. "I don't take up the whole bed, if that's what you're worried about," she grinned slightly.

"Those wings of yours might need a whole bed to themselves." He joked as he sat down on the open side of the bed. He pulled the cover over his lap. "Thanks for sharing the bed." He said a little awkwardly, as though he didn't know what to do now. It wasn't his first time sharing a bed with a woman, but it was the first time under theses circumstances. "Well..." He began a little awkwardly. "Good night?" He said the statement as more of a question, unsure if she wanted to sleep right now.

Athena smiled, taking in a deep breath, then letting it out in a sigh. Her lungs tingled for a moment, Richard's scent stronger than it was in the kitchen. "Yes, goodnight" her golden eyes becoming slightly glazed with sleep, and the toxic essence of Richards smell.
Athena laid her head on the pillow, her wings hanging slightly off the bed, not wanting to wake up with a cramp from laying on her feathers.

Roughly a week later.
Richard tickled Athenas nose with a feather she had lost. "Wakey wakey." Richard murmured trying to wake her up. They'd stayed in this house for a while, longer than Richard ever liked to stay in one place. He sat on the side of the bed waiting to see if she'd wake up. He had an important question to ask her, one he was slightly nervous about.
His hair damp from the shower he'd just taken, it made the neck of his gray hoodie wet. He was dressed more comfortable than usual, hoodie and sweat pants, clothes that didn't restrict his movements. He sat as far away on the bed as he could, a practice he had gotten into in the mornings. He gave her as much space as he could, knowing spending the night with him would have left her weak from his scent.

Athena awoke with a start, scrunching her nose against the feather-like touch of something. She groaned, her body still feeling drained from the night before. Out stretching her arms across the bed, she did a full body stretch, from the tips of her wings to her toes. Her wings knocked against the bookcase across the room, but Athena didn't notice it until a book fell onto her wing. "Whoops," she sleepily smiled, her golden eyes looking to the foot of the bed for Richard. "Good morning handsome," she grinned, sitting up slowly so she wouldn't become lightheaded. She ripped the blankets away from her bare legs, wanting the cool air around her to help wake her. She wore one of Richards shirts, since after the first few nights of staying with him her clothes needed to be washed.

Richard grinned seeing her, he wasn't used to being able to wake up and have her beside him. It gave him secret pleasure to be the first thing she saw in the morning, and the fact she wore his clothing made it even better. His eyes quickly skimmed over her and over to the book that now laied on the floor in front of the bookcase. "You're making a mess of our room as usual." He grinned got up to picked up the book. "How to Say Goodbye." He read the cover out loud, his grin sagged and he quickly placed the book back into place. He turned to look at her carefully, his face remorseful as though he was about to deliver bad new but couldn't quite figure out how to say it.
"Do you want to dance?" He asked instead shooting her a winning smile, one he'd used on girls in the Before, it didn't quite reach his eyes. But he held his hand out to her, "Lets dance."

Athena grinned at Richard, "I would love to dance," she stood, "but to what music?" Her feet were bare, just as she liked them, the cold of the floor against her skin was rather refreshing. She searched for Richards hand with her own, knowing his touch would keep her from wobbling to the ground again. The two of them had come up with a system of sorts, he would give her air in the morning, and help her through the day until she was strong enough to support herself on her own. Athena studied his eyes for a moment, noticing he had something unusual in his eyes. She hoped it was nothing bad, so she just pushed away the thought.
