I have tried to design a similar workflow using OmniOutliner, but miserably failed. I'm using it for basic todos and one line notes but it is nowhere close to this functionality. - good luck to migrate somewhere else (I already experienced it with a colleague that left the company and had his entire knowledge base in there ...) This helps us give you the correct trial terms. Some countries require us to provide country-specific terms based on where you live. Spotlight not cutting it for you? Switch over to Alfred. It’s an advanced launcher app that lets you control files, applications, and online services from a single location. Ensure that you download Alfred from its official website; the Mac App Store version is out of date.
NotePlan keeps the entire organizational workflow simple. Just the way it should be.
The first thing you see when you open up NotePlan is a monthly, searchable calendar. It will be pre-filled with external calendar events, if you have given NotePlan the permission and if you have configured some calendars with your Mac (see the default Calendars app, which comes preinstalled). The events pulled from another calendar are purple.
Organize your tasks for the day by structuring them into headings and lists to get clarity and an overview of what needs to be done - Today.
• Swipe left or right to change months, dates and notes.

spaceemacs is emacs + some stuff. It's like choosing ubuntu over arch linux, the only difference is the flavoring. Personally I'm a purist so I only go with the original version. The link I sent you is actually part of a serie I wrote on emacs that start here:
We've selected apps which are the most suitable for scheduling and calendar managing on both desktop (Mac OS) and mobile (iOS) platforms . And they are the following:
