- They first develop horrible bloody noses, which last from one minute to a few hours.
- Horrible fevers, around 120 to 130 degrees, overcome them, but it doesn't kill them. But they feel as though fire is underneath their skin.
- Next, they sleep for about two to five days, and when they awake, they have no recollection of the nose bleeds and fever.
- For a week, they seem normal, but after the seventh day, they begin to develop hallucinations, become violent and their eyes turn blood red.
- Some of the infected die because they want the suffering to end, others die of coughing fits that lead to spewing blood from the mouth.
