He nodded slowly as she spoke of her sister, watching her carefully. Isaac let out a little yelp of joy as the CD started but was cut off as she threw her arms briefly around his shoulders. He laughed with a stupid smile, as shocked by her response as she seemed to be. She stared at her feet and he stood for a moment, unsure of what he should do. His nervous habit of running his fingers through his hair kicked in as his heart leapt a little.
Isaac breathed with the music for a moment. It was the same song Jasper used the day that she taught him to dance. She was convinced Isaac would have a date to prom that year until the plague hit. He spent a solid hour with her, learning to get past his clumsy steps. "Do you dance?" he accidentally blurted as the song began to reach the first chorus.

Megan looked up at him slowly. Great now he was nervouse. "way to go Megan scare of a nice guy." she said her self looking down again. Maybe if she ran out the door fast enough he wouldn't be able to stop her. "One the count of three. One two-" she stopped and looked at him as he asked her to dance. Her face turned red, she looked at him and smile. "sure" Megan said looking at him. She didn't care her face was red, maybe it wouldn't be that bad to show her feeling towards him instead of hiding them.

Isaac swallowed hard and, with a soft smile, he took her hand, pulling her into a older, more formal dance that fit the music. They moved along with the tune for a few moments. "I guess it's been awhile," He laughed as he missed a step. He could honestly say he had never expected to be dancing today, but somehow, it didn't bother him. For a few moments, Isaac allowed himself to watch the dim light glinting off of her hair. It was soothing, and her hands were soft in his, especially considering the two of them had been living in a post-apocolyptic wasteland. A smile played on his lips as he spun her gently, slowly remembering his lesson in dancing. "Who taught you to dance?" He asked, relaxing into the song.

Megan went with it as they started dance. She felt like she was in heaven with probably the most lucky male angle she could have ever find. Sure that sounded weird but that what she was feeling right now. "It alright I don't care." She said knowing that she was a little rusty with her dancing skills. When she got spun it was like her heart skipped a beat. She looked up at him. "Well mostly on my own it a girl thing and I also would dance with my sister all the time." She said smiling. "And what about you, I never met someone who hadn't stepped on my feet while trying to dance.

Isaac smiled softly as Megan spoke of her sister and laughed as he made even more of an effort not to catch her toes as they danced. For a few moments he thought back again, like he often did, to a time before the plague. "Well," He started, shifting his gaze just past her as he remembered, "my sisters loved to dance. Sasha was so little, it was hardly dancing for her, but it was cute," Isaac laughed. "Jasper, though, she was," he paused, wistfully, "she was a dancer, Ballet, Ballroom, the works... No one at school knew this of course. She was too introverted for that. Anyways, with those two in the house, me and my brother pretty much had no choice but to learn. Jasper would need a partner and just like that, I had to learn to tango," Isaac laughed, "or something similar." His smile fell a little when a quick wave of electrical loss caused the lights to flicker and the music to falter. It was up and running again within a heartbeat, and Isaac made a mental note to ignore it.

Megan listen as then moved to the music. "Well you had some great teachers." Megan said with a smile. She had a feeling that if Isaac and her had met before everything that their family would get along pretty well. Megan slowly moved her head to Isaac's chest resting her head as she still dance. Megan looked over as the lights flicked and music became a little low. Megan gave a small chuckle then looked up at Isaac. "Thank you for this." She said with a smile. It felt great having a guy to dance with, to have someone who was just like her, and was open with her. This was probably one of the best days ever sense the plague had hit.

Isaac breathed in slowly, straightening up as Megan laid her head on his chest. He could smell honey in the soft scent of her hair. Smiling, he blushed as he suddenly became very aware of his heartbeat quickening. He closed his eyes and his cheek slid slowly to rest on her head. The moment was sweet. It felt good to be like this for once, not fighting worry or regret. Just holding a girl who seemed as lost as he was while music hummed their thoughts into the background. He wondered quietly to himself how things would be different now.
After a few moments, Isaac leaned his head to the side a little so he could speak. "Tell me about your family," he said softly.

Megan's eyes closed slowly as she just listen to the music and dance. She wished this day would never end, she looked up at him as he spoke then back down. "Well my family was pretty great my father taught me everything I know about music and well then he past away when I was in 7th grade and my sister Liz was only four. We got to see him in the hospital before he past and well the when he gave me his old guitar, and his key to his trunk. Well when I opened it, it had everything this that he had collected from his time of music. I still have the trunk but I locked it up and buried it." She said a little said thinking about it and him. She kept her head on his chest and breathed in. "My sister was really silly she could make you laugh on the saddest day. She loved to sing and dance it was quite funny when she was really little. And my mom she was just a caring mom, always their for you when you need her the most." Megan said looking up at him. "What about your family, I heard a little bit about your sisters but what about the rest of them." She asked.

Isaac listened in silence, giving her hand a little squeeze as she spoke of her father and smiled as she spoke of her sister and mother. He let out a short breath, pausing briefly. "Honestly, my family was fantastic. Until, when I was around fifteen, my dad left." Isaac was silent for a minute or so. "He was a good guy, really. A lot like I used to be," he laughed, "ah, after he left, things were a bit different. My mom got real disconnected from us and I ended up kinda like the father figure for my siblings. I took care of my sisters and Seth, my brother. Him and Jazz were twins. Complete opposites, but still twins," Isaac described, tipping his head back.
"Seth was the boy-next-door, quarterback, class clown kinda kid. Other than gettin' a good knock in football, he was easy to take care of. Jasper, on the other hand, I can't even begin to count the number of times I pulled her out of a fight," he rolled his eyes with a smile. "And Sasha," he laughed, "well, she was just my little princess. She was, maybe, four. Not even in Kindergarten. Man, she was just adorable, and she'd use that, too!" Isaac looked down at their hands, smiling as the song came to an end. It'd been a long time since he'd sat and remembered what his life was like before the plague.

Megan looked at him a little sad to hear about his father and mother. "It must have been hard trying to take care of them. But it sounds like you did a pretty great job, for you being pretty young." Megan said looking up at him with a smile. "I would have love to meet you siblings it sounds like we would get a long." she said looking over at the player. When the song ended Megan wasn't sure what she wanted to do next or if she wanted to let go of him. She pulled away just a little to where she looked up at him. "Well what would you like to do know." Megan said with a smile and then biting the bottom of her lip.

Isaac smiled, she was right, his family would've loved her. Silently he nodded in agreement. He watched her for a moment as she spoke, his eyes drawn to her lips. His throat felt dry, and he swallowed hard, refocusing on her eyes. They were expectant, waiting for an answer. Isaac let out a short breath, looking down, building up courage. Before he knew what he was doing, his fingers slid into her soft hair, the base of his palm over the back of her jaw, he leaned in pulling her lips carefully to his, pausing briefly to gauge her response.

Megan looked at him waiting for a answer but instead he ran his fingers in her hair. Megan started to smile on the inside and felt the butterflies in the her stomach. When Isaac kissed her it was like he had lifted her off her feet. Everything felt like it was fluttering and she was jumping up and down excited like a teenage girl. She never had this feeling before where she wanted to tell everyone mostly her family about him. When he looked at her after he did that Megan had this cute shy smile on and pulled him back in for a kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck and ran her fingers in the back if his hair.
