Walking around in one of her favorite store of all time, looking around even though most thing were broken and destroyed. It brought a smile to her face remember what it use to be like. She remember spending most of her life here looking at the new instrument that would come in or listening to the new CD that had just come out. It made this 19 year old girl smile. She moved her brown hair out of her face as she dust of the glass windows which use to hold the most valuable items.
Megan walked around the counter to get a close look at some of the stuff that was still in their. She got down on her knees and noticed it was still lock. "Not a probably." Megan said with smile as a tail appeared out of know where. The sharp end of the tail would be able to cut through the lock. Once she got it opened she looked at some of the guitar picks. One's that use to be sign by some of the most famous guitarist had there name faded off. You could still read a little of the names but not anything worth holding onto. She then looked under the shelf which had a red cherry electric guitar. A couple of the strings had been broken but other wise this was probably one of the best looking guitar she had seen in forever.
She really wanted to take it but knew if she did it wouldn't last out their that long. With her luck she'd probably run into somebody who would be looking for a fight. So instead she shut the door and left it be until she could find a for sure place to keep it at.

Cold water ran over Isaac's fingers. He breathed out slowly as he brought it to his face. It was the first time in months he'd been in the the city. The small flat he had broken into proved to be a good place for a rest. He flicked off the lights in the bathroom and moved into the living room, packing his things once more into the small pack he carried. The contents of the cupboards were strewn across the counter and an old hot pocket was cooking in the untrustworthy little microwave. With the rolling power outages, everything on electricity was suspicious.
After taking a few cans of preserves and a chunk of beef jerky, Isaac slowly made his way around the flat, observing the old pictures, coated with dust and long forgotten. The previous owner was a musician. He had multiple pictures of himself and various musicians signing classic guitars. Among these were pictures and what looked like his daughter. Isaac's heart jerked as he noted the girl's oversized brown eyes with the same giggling look he'd seen countless times on his youngest sister. He swallowed the lump in his throat and forced himself to walk away, distracting himself with the gorgeous old acoustic propped up in the corner of the tiny room.
He lifted it up, looking over it with careful eyes. Wiping away a patch of dust, Isaac noticed what had once been a signature of sorts, worn by use and misuse. He let out a long, appreciative whistle turning it over a few times. Isaac took the time to tune the thing and slide it into it's case before grabbing his hot pocket from the sketchy microwave. Against his better judgement, he slid the case over his shoulder, taking it, his pack, and the hot pocket out with him. He had longingly passed the run down music store on his way into the flat and intended to search it before taking his leave. If his suspicions were right, the owner of the apartment was the owner of the shop, and with the gem he found in the flat, there had to be some good stuff in the store.
Isaac hopped down the stairs, skipping a few in his lazy, falling step. He reached the door to the shop and pressed his back to it, leaning back and sliding through the entryway. A high-pitched jingle caught his ears and he jumped, nearly throwing his meal. He looked up at the bells hung over the door and laughed at himself, relaxing for a moment. A gasp came from across the room and Isaac whipped around to see a young girl, long brown hair laying past her shoulders.
For just a moment he could've sworn it was Jasper. Fear shot through his chest and his head began to pound. Isaac threw up his left arm, prepared to use a shield, and dropped the hot pocket, ripping the jaggety blade from it's holder at his belt. Frozen, he watched her.

Megan walked over to the wall of fame, which now looked like somebody got mad and tossed everything off the wall. Megan closed her eye and imaged herself being her when she was young and what it looked like. It use to have all the pictures of every famous who had came into this store. The owner use to take picture of them and they would sign them for the owner. Megan felt like a little kid again being in this store, she almost didn't want to leave but knew if she tried to stay in one place at all time someone would find out and try to kill her. Plus in that process the store would become more destroyed then it already is. Megan grabbed one of the picture from the ground it had been a picture of the queen band but it was a little fade and the color yellow. But she didn't care she pinned it back up on the wall she then looked back down at the other picture looking through them making sure they were worth putting up. Megan made sure they we older band one that people her time shouldn't even know but she did because her father.
Megan had been so in tone with what she was doing she didn't even notice the man walk behind her trying to get out quietly. Truth was it would have probably would have work if the bells didn't go off. Megan froze because she didn't know who it was and they probably wanted to kill her. She dropped the picture she had in her hand and gasped. When he grabbed a blade it scared Megan that she walked behind and tripped over a guitar stand. Falling to her butt Megan yelled "Oww" Loud. She didn't want a probably with the guy but she wasn't to sure about him.

Cautiously, Isaac relaxed his arm as she flailed. Moving the blade forward in a slow, sweeping motion, his eyes locked on her every move. He flipped the knife, dangling it loosely, unthreateningly from his fingers and slowly moved to put it back in it's holder. Isaac's breath caught as he willed himself to speak.
"What are you?" He asked, forcing his voice to a low, gravelly threat.

Megan watched the guy from the ground flipping the knife he had his hand. Megan gave him a rude look as he did that. When he spoke she just sat their looking at him shaking his head. "I'm a gift who was minding my own business so if you looking for a fight please go somewhere else because if you break anything in here you will be sorry." Megan said defending herself and the shop. She didn't want any trouble she just wanted to go about looking through the shop and then probably get something to eat.
"What do you want anyways." She said looking at him a little bit nice just so nothing big would happen. Plus it did make sense for him to defend himself with some of the people out there wanting to kill gift or humans.

Shocked by her response, Isaac chuckled silently, her sass reminding him even more of Jasper. Pushing back the little pang of loss, he went back into his rough act. "Just passing through," he mumbled. He shifted his weight uncomfortably for a second, attempting to get a threatening stance. Holding his hand defensively over the knife, Isaac continued.
"I'll tell you one thing, though, I wasn't looking for backtalk from someone who, for all I know has..." He broke off for a second, distracted. "Aah, has... shit," he gave up on the rude character, "is that Queen?"

Megan got back on her feet dusting herself off. She rubbed her bottom which still hurt a bit from falling down on the ground. Megan listen to him while he seem like he was trying to be tough. She just guess that by the way he switched standing and then his voice. Megan laughed when he fell apart and fell into the picture behind her. "Yes that is Queen and it the only one of them that I have found were you can still read their signatures." She said smiling turning around and unpinning it from the board. "You want to to see." Megan said still with a smiled on her face. She had finally found someone who loved music and old artiste.

Isaac grinned, "hell yeah," he said, making his way across the dim room. Completely taken in by the picture, he didn't even consider being defensive as he drew close, slipping his fingers over the old photo. He laughed, "man, I can't even tell you the number of times i've listened to these guys."
Pulling off his hat, Isaac took a moment to run his fingers through his shaggy hair. He took a step back, feeling the need to fix the awkward gap in communication. It had been a long time since he'd had a normal conversation and suddenly, he found himself craving it. Carefully, he lowered the guitar and his bag to the floor, and walked back to the doorway. Retrieving his hot pocket, he brushed it off and moved towards a stack of CD's. He filed through them, pulled one out, looked it over, and tossed it across the store to the girl. "That's ahh, Aerosmith," he said in an attempt to make small talk as he ambled over to her, biting into the hot pocket. "Sweet Emotion was the first thing I ever learned to play. Do you know them?" Isaac asked, leaning against the counter by her.

Megan smiled as the guy lighted up like a little boy on Christmas. "Same here I use to listen to them with my father for hours and hours." She said smiling. She really didn't even care if he had gotten close sure she probably should have by the way he was messing with her when he had the sword in his hand. But for Megan when it came to music and someone actual having common interest she could care less.
Megan watched as he stepped away she did too, she rubbed her arm feeling a little uncomfortable. He watch as he went to the CD's and looked through them. She wonder what he was looking for, maybe she would get to learn more about it. Music always brought people closer which to Megan was a good thing because if she found someone who didn't like the same music as her, she found it a little hard to get a long with. Megan caught the CD and looked at it. She smiled big remembering what it was like listen to all the songs again. "Of course I know them who doesn't." She said with a smirk. "I love that song, Im pretty sure the first song I learned to play and sing with my sister was Ain't no mountain high enough by Marvin Gaye" She said looking down as she looked back at the CD. "Man what I would do to listen to a CD again." She said then tossed it back at him. "I'm Megan by the way." She said with a smile.

"I'm Isaac," he smiled. He slid up to sit on the counter and looked around, sidetracked again, "you'd think in an old music store they'd have a CD player somewhere," he mused. For a moment he considered this before looking up, watching Megan thoughtfully. Isaac liked to think he didn't easily trust anyone but something about this girl brought his guard down. She was obviously close to his own age, yet somehow she reminded him so much of his little sister. He frowned, pushing back that thought and the urge to protect the girl he hardly knew.
As he thought about it, he began to wonder how much he really did know about her. She was alone, she loved music, she was gifted. Not much else. Does she work with another group? Is she really gifted? Was she just passing through like Isaac, or did she live here? He lifted his head, finding a way to vocalize his train of thought in some way. "Sorry about the whole..." he broke off, motioning to the door in a flustered reference to their meeting. "I didn't mean to scare you or... I don't know... come on your turf," he fumbled, looking down at his hands.

"Well it nice to meet you Isaac." Megan said with a smile as she moved her bangs out of her face. "You know we can probably find one the only thing is will it work or not." Megan said as she moved over to all the cabinets and started to look through them. She knew one thing if she did find one it would have to stay quite just so nobody would hear it and then come in the store and check it out. Megan looked up at Isaac who looked to be deep in thought. She really wanted to ask what he was thinking about but she didn't want to step out of line. She could try reading his mind but she decide not to do that and look back through the cabinets.
When she found one she grabbed it and put it on a table. She looked at him while he spoke, "It alright and it not really my turf just a place that makes me happy and if someone love music just as much as I do, I don't think I could tell them to leave." She said smiling. "Well here is one you want to see if it work." Megan said looking at him. She got to thinking that she never asked if he was a gifted or not, but why would a human be around a gifted its unsafe. "So what your gifted if I may ask." She asked nicely looking at him and then the CD player.

Isaac smiled, relaxing considerably as she explained. He stepped down, running his fingers over the old CD player. It was in relatively good shape, considering the time that it had seen. It looked promising. Grabbing the plug, he pressed it into a socket in the wall. A spark shot out and Isaac laughed as his heart jumped for a moment. "That's promising," he mumbled, looking up at Megan as she mentioned his gift, and nodding his head as he listened.
"Well," he said after a beat. "It's all kind of based on... controlling energy," he started. "I can use little bits of energy to create these..." pausing for a second, Isaac lifted his hand, palm up. In it appeared a little ball. "These projections," he continued, "They're not much, these things, but I can create literally anything," as he spoke, he tossed the ball across the room, watching as it bounced off of the wall across from him and came back to his hand. Holding his hand out to Megan, Isaac dropped the little ball into her hand. It fell through to the ground, "but really they're just projections. Not real, solid objects, just something I can manipulate to look real." Isaac described, projecting a small pistol into his hand for emphasis as he spoke. He dropped that too and prepared himself to demonstrate the real power in his energy control. "Now, that's not much, really. The gift comes in what I can turn a projection into a real, solid object. I myself, can create a shield," as he said this, Isaac braced himself, pulling as much energy from the air as he could to avoid the extreme use of his own energy. He breathed out slowly as he produced a large, glowing mass from his hand which extended fully over his tall frame. "It's solid," Isaac explained through labored breathing as he dropped the shield. "My siblings all had similar abilities. Some stronger than others, but, ah, that's about the gist of it," He concluded, propping himself up against the counter once more. "What about you?"

Megan flinched a little as it made a spark and then gave a small chuckle. She could wait to test this baby out it, just knowing that she might hear music again made her heart race and brought a smile on her face. She looked at Isaac who was just as excited as she was to hear it play. It was weird she had never been this close to any guy in here life other then her father. Every guy who she had dated thought it was weird to listen to the older music and the today music was were it was at. Having this connection with a person made her feel different that it was ok to be herself again. And it being a male not only a male a pretty cute one made her even happier.
Megan looked over at him as he spoke and talked about his gift. Her eye got big as he showed her want he could do. "Well that pretty fantastic if I may say." she said looking right into his eyes then glanced away. "So your siblings do you know where they are at." She asked because she also wonder what it would be like if her sister made it through the plague. Megan looked down and grinned. "Well my gift isn't anything special I can just read people's mind if I want to and well I have this." Megan said as a tail came out of no where it start to come out pretty long and then she made go short again. "Nothing really fancy the tail has a sharp end and can cut through just about anything." She said looking at the CD player. "so what song to you want to hear first." she said smiling at him.

He dropped his head with a wry smile at the mention of his siblings. He hadn't even really noticed that he'd mentioned them in his explanation and the question caught him a little off guard, "Ah, they're... they're gone," Isaac stated simply, nodding. He pushed the thought behind him as she continued. A touch of worry hit him as Megan mentioned the mind-reading. He quickly tried to remember if he'd thought anything embarrassing, brushing his hand over his mouth to hide a slight blush of his cheeks. Isaac smiled as her tail appeared, lengthened and shortened. "Man," he laughed in awe, "that's actually pretty damn fancy."
Isaac felt a lot better about his situation knowing just what Megan was capable of. She was like a breath of fresh air, someone to hold a normal conversation with in a world that was everything but normal. She liked his kind of music. Not to mention, she was definitely and eye-catcher. Sharply, He pulled himself out of this train of thought, worried she'd overhear. Attempting to distract himself he responded to her question, "Hmm... I'll pick one out," he smiled, shifting towards the CD's and flipping through them swiftly, wondering if the mind-reading was a constant thing or something she could just turn on and off. With this thought, he turned to another stack to hide another blush.
"What about a classic? You up for a little Hotel California?" Isaac asked, tossing her the Eagles album.

"Oh I'm sorry so is my sister it sucks." Megan said looking down and then back at him. "Sure I guess, the tail i think is weird it justs hangs out their."She said with a little chuckle. She moved it around a bit before making it disappear. Megan notice he was trying to his his red cheeks so she looked away pretending she didn't notice. She looked at him while he looked for a CD she was wanting to know to know what he was thinking but she didn't want to step over boundaries with him and make him feel uncomfertable. She grabbed the CD he tossed her and put it into the player she went to the song and pressed play and then turned it up a little. It played prefect, she looked over at him and jumpped up from being excited then she gave him a hug. When she notice that she did that she took a step back looking at the ground playing with her feet. Her face was bright red and wasn't sure what to say.
