Children giggled, running across the brightly colored grass, a kite in tow. It flew high above them, high enough to where a few of the elderly would sit back in their chairs and watch.
Couples lay on the grass, blankets laid out beneath them, watching as people looked through the small stands for apples, bananas and other fresh, edible food.
It seemed like a normal afternoon in a park, but only it wasn't a park. A whole town, stores, small pharmaceutical stands, the occasional authoritive-looking being, and so much more had taken root here. And here was inside a magnificently massive football stadium.
The residents of this small town had modified this stadium to their preferences, ripping up a few rows of chairs here and there for more stands to sell things. The press box high above the rows upon rows of seats became their town hall, and was the place where the people could speak their minds to the court of people who seemed to help run this stadium.
Everything seemed to be in perfect harmony, down to the people eating by the used-to-be-concession stands turned restraunt.
"Sunshine, we need two rolls, a ham sandwich and a hot chocolate!" A waitress called back to the kitchen, placing the order paper on the counter.
A pale hand picked up the paper, quickly glancing over it, verifying what the waitress had told her.
"Coming right up!" A cheerful voice called, the girl spinning on her heels to go towards the stove that sizzled from the two hamburgers that were almost done cooking. Grabbing a pair of tongs, the pinched the two patties, then laid them down onto a piece of toast. Adding mayo, ketchup, and a few other secret things, she placed the other piece of bread on top and grabbed the plate.
"Red wood burger!" She called, dinging the bell on the counter.
Turning back around, she wiped her hands on the white apron she wore over her jeans and red shirt.
Her hands moving like lightning now, she threw a few slices of ham onto the stove, and smiled as they sizzled and popped against the heat. She sure loved her job.
The girls white blonde hair was pulled back into a high bun, but somehow a few strands of hair wriggled their way free of the hair tie, and managed to get into the girl's eye.
"Ow damnit" she cursed, trying to blink it away, which didn't help.
Sunshine groaned, mashing her eye shut, not wanting to touch her face with her hands, then having to wash them again would be a pain.
