Maris let her eyes flick up to the movement on the roof. So her hunch had been right, there was another players. To many people to many ways this situation could go wrong. And add in a Berserker to the mix, that had to be what the man with the gruesome bat must be. She could see the marks the Plague had left on his face. In another time he might have been considered handsome before the Plague took him in his grips. Now all Maris could see in his face was the results of a deadly plague she would do anything to avoid catch.
"I too am not looking for a fights." Maris replied in response to the Gifteds pled for truce, "There is nothing we can gain from this." Maris let the tip of her guns barrel drop slightly, so it no longer was pointed directly at the Gifteds chest, though she could still raise it quickly if need come.
She didn't for a moment believe she would get out of this without a fight. Though she had a gun, she was still at a disadvantage with one ear out of commision. She slowly took a step back, her feet carefully gliding against the concrete, retreating. If she could just get to a more defensible position.... Off the street even, back towards one of the houses behind her. Anything but cornered by three potentially hostile individuals.

Colton moved his arm around, it burned a little but not back. "Man why won't this heal faster" Colton mumbled then cussed. He looked back at his arm which was changing into this long lizard arm. He looked back out the window at the three people out their. "Well they already know im here so I might as well show myself." Colton said in his head. He made his was slowly and quite to the door. He then looked back at his arm which was back to a normal human arm. The blood went away and his arm looked like nothing had happened, no cut, no scaring.
He looked down at his shirt which now had blood on it, but it was the color of everyone else blood. He blood was a dark red more black, it also didn't have the best smell to it. Colton looked around before heading outside just so he could get a new shirt. He walked over to a dresser that had fallen over, he picked it up and looked through it tossing away shirts he didn't like. Colton mostly tried to find something plain and not to fancy. He pulled on a black tank top. He tossed his shirt on the ground and put it on, it had been a little tight but it would have to work.
Colton headed for the door which was hanging off and had some holes in it. Colton kicked to where it fell of the last hinge. He step out on the deck looking at the man with the club, the girl in the suit and last the gifted girl with the angle wings.

Ayden took a moment to assess where he was and what was going on. There was the gifted in the house behind him that probably had some sort of impenetrability or healing abilities. He wasn’t one that Ayden wanted to tangle with at all, because he didn’t know what he’d be getting into. The masked figure seemed to be adversarial to the glow eyes, but not on his own side either. It would be best not to get on that one’s bad side either, mostly because that would make it three against one. As to the glow-eyes with the wings, she seemed to be a flyer, but not much more than that. If she’d been on the ground, he could have taken her no problem. But now she had an advantage, the high ground, and she’d seen him. He reprimanded himself harshly for not getting the drop on her when he could have.
So where did that leave him? It left him with three potential adversaries, all but one of which had definitely seen him by now. He could take one, maybe two on a good day. But three? No chance. It was a tight spot, but maybe it was best to ally himself with the one with a gun. Firepower was never a bad thing to have at your side in this sort of situation.
The door burst off its hinges behind him and the figure of the man stood in the door way. Sure enough his injuries were minimal at worst, and he was looking right at Ayden. If there was a time to make a move, it was definitely now, and having someone like him to his flank made the decision all the easier. Ayden shook his head as he vaulted the bush, tucking the club uncomfortably thought a leather belt he wore.
“Shit,” he muttered yet again as he bolted towards the masked figure, keeping his head low to avoid any attacks from the winged one. Sure, she’d said she didn’t want trouble, but you couldn’t trust a glow-eyes.
“Hey!” he yelled out at the masked figure. “Hey it’s ok, I’m on your side. I don’t want to hurt you!” He held his hands up in front of his body to show that he was now unarmed. He just prayed that the gesture was enough for this person, that they wouldn’t shoot him on sight.

Athena's eyes snapped to the door that busted open, and saw that a boy was just standing there. Perhaps he was gifted? Maybe he was just a human. She wasn't sure, but she just knew he wasn't attacking her yet, so that was good. The scarred man ran from behind her, and over to the girl with the mask.
Athena flapped her wings backwards, trying to get by the front porch that was behind her that this random boy was just standing on. She needed an ally right now, especially since there were two humans in front of her, one with a club, and the other with a gun. She could probably take on the man with the scars, his club wouldn't stand a chance against her diamond sharp feathers. But the girl with a gun? She wasn't sure if her wings would deflect the bullet if the girl shot at her again. "Hey!" She called to the boy on the front porch, whipping her body around and rushing towards him in the air.

Colton ran his fingers through his hair real quick, a couple shards of glass fell out by they were so small you couldn't really see them. Colton looked at the dude with the club who looked scared of him. Colton shrugged his shoulders because he hadn't really done anything to him and he wasn't planing on to unless he was wanting the fight. He watched the man run off to the girl with the gun, made sense run to a ally that most common to you, and because he wasn't a gifted running to a human made sense. Colton looked over at the girl with the angle wings as she started to talk.
Next thing Colton knew she had flew over to him and was standing right next to him. "Hey." Colton said back in a clam voice, he wasn't quite sure what else to say to her. He looked back at the two humans. "Hey look you two I'm not wanting a fight, I was just relaxing so how about you head back to your side of the town and we will head back to what we were doing. Seem fair?" Colton said a little loud just so they could hear him. He wasn't up for a fight right now and by the looks of it he probably be able to take them both depending on what kind of gun she had. He was sure it was just a normal gun with the regular bullets that the humans would search for to defend themselves.

Maris jumped back in fear a little when the Berserker came at her and immediately relaxed a little at his words. It seemed they were picking sides, and if Maris had to choose between a gifted and a berserker she'd probably pick the human.
"On my side." She repeated his words still not come to a complete decision on her level of trust with him. But her ear hurt so badly there she felt dizzy from the pain or maybe it was because her internal balance was messed up either way she needed help. Pulling her googles up onto the top of her head to reveal her eyes, she kept the breathing apparatus in, she wasn't going to risk it that much. She just wanted to show her eyes as proof, they were chocolate brown not a hint of any tainted color.
"Us humans got to stick together." She told him grinning in a way that was only seen by the way her eye squinted into a crinkle. Her eyes then narrowed at the male gifted yell. He wanted to just leave, back down. No he couldn't be serious, there was no way he'd just back down. And Maris couldn't risk any of them following her back to the Bunkers secret entrance. She couldn't walk away and risk pursuit.

Ayden gave a curt nod as he reached the other. The voice was decidedly female, he thought to himself. A girl with a gun, wasn't that an interesting combo. All the women he'd known down in the sewers had chosen edged weapons it they could get them. The women went with something sharp and cutting, the men something blunt and skull-cracking. It made sense, he noted, but it didn't explain where guns fit into the situation.
He spun to stand beside her, facing the pair of gifted. They weren't following him, weren't attacking. And they claimed to want no sort of conflict? Well that was rich, a gifted not wanting to kill someone? He didn't believe that for a second.
"You really think these things don't want to fight?" he growled to his new ally. "I'll bet bullets can kill them and they know it. Want us to turn our backs, then they kill us with whatever powers they have."
That did put them in an uncomfortable situation though. They needed backup. And what better place than the sewers for backup? It was out of sight, gave no advantage to the winged one, and was crawling with others, all ready for a taste of gifted flesh. This one didn't look very sewer friendly, but it was a good chance for survival, and the sewers in this city were nearly bone dry, healthier than many others. He wrapped his hand around the club, ready for a fight just in case one came.
"I know a safe place," he nearly whispered. "If I start running, can you keep up? Maybe lay down some cover-fire if they start following?"

A safe place, there were no safe places for her in this city except the Bunker. Where could he mean safe, the sewers? It seemed the sewers were the domain of the Berserkers, who didn't fear the infected waters. But for Maris it was a death trap, she couldn't get wet, as a high safety precaution. Even though her suit was built to be waterproof if she got a tear in in the last place she would want to be was among the infected. She couldn't risk it, but she also needed this mans aid.
Maris tilted her head slightly, her busted eardrum giving her trouble. She wanted to switch her earpiece desperately to her good ear. She could be missing valuable information over the radio, but she couldn't hear any indication of communication. Scenarios flew through her mind, would they label her dead or send out a search party for her. If they sent a search party what would they think of Maris paired up with a Berserker. Desperate times.
"I can keep up."Maris said grinning, she was fast, not gifted fast but fast for a human girl. "Easily." She added raising her gun at the two gifted. Cover fire to her meant Shoot to Inhibit aiming at the female gifteds left wing. Shoot to Inhibit, Maris tightened her finger on the trigger, her first deliberate shot today.
Bam Maris felt the ricochet and braced herself appropriately to absorb the force. Taking a deliberate shot knowing full well what she meant to do, wanting to cause pain, to injure someone else, almost a complete stranger. The feeling tore at her a little, and brought the world into sharp clarity, she was a girl with a gun shooting to live. What was this world now, chaos.
Refusing to dwell on the feeling or concentrate on where the shot landed, she shifted her gun over to point at the man. Quickly another bullet shot out the barrel Bam. Two shot fired almost consecutively, "Run." Maris told the man turning on her heel quickly shoving off the pavement. She started off running and let him take the lead. She'd follow him just far enough to get out of this situation then she'd go off on her own.

Athena watched the boy call out to the others, he seemed like someone with a strong gift. She could tell just by the way he held himself. She felt a pinch in her left wing, and looked up at the woman with a gun. She smiled, knowing the bullet she just shot at her was deflected back. "We said we didn't want any trouble" she spoke, her feet touching the ground now. Her body tensed, and her eyes shifted from their owl-like color, to black as anger took hold of her. The bullet had buried itself into the porch beneath her, which honestly made her want to laugh. Her wings stayed golden, and her hands clenched into fists as she climbed down the steps. This wasn't Athena now, it was someone different, someone ready to rip the humans apart. She reached over to the wooden railing on the steps, grabbing a pillar. With one swift move, she ripped it from its place, a disturbing crunch coming from the cracking wood. She heard another gunshot, and quickly her gaze shifted to the boy who was now behind her.

Colton looked at the human lift the gun he knew she was going to shoot which was stupid of her. He knew that it would harm him at all maybe a little blood but all he need to do was turn into a Kanima and then it was like nothing touched him. He watched her shoot the girl right next to him. The bullet just bounced off like it was nothing, Colton eyes got big in amazement. He watch her get mad then looked away from her when he felt something hit his chest.
Alright Colton was mad, but he still didn't want to hurt them. "I don't know about you but I still don't want to hurt them it not worth it." Colton said then with in seconds Colton had changed from human to a Kanima, but what most people would say is a huge lizard type thing with a long tail. Colton jumped of the the porch running for them. He just wanted that gun away from her, the he would just walk of like nothing happened.

She breathed a sigh of relief when the bullet didn't seem to phase him. "I want to do more than just hurt them" she smiled, walking forward now. Her wings slightly spread out at her sides, ready to deflect another bullet. Her blue feet slapped on the pavement, contrasting with the deep gray of the cement. She reached out to one of her wings, pulling out three feathers with her free hand. They weighed as much as a normal knife would, although they were much sharper than just a normal knife.
Her pace began to quicken into a jog, her grip tightening on the feathers and the white piece of wood. Kicking off the ground, she began to fly beside the gigantic lizard-man.

After leaving Boston, Vivian went on a journey to wherever it was she happened to end up. It wasn't terribly difficult. Her car was still working when she left. The main issue was finding gas. It finally died somewhere near New York in a borough she didn't quite recognize. "Great. Stranded just outside of the most populated place in the country," she said to herself. Unpacking the trunk, the shining black Audi changed back into a dusty blue station-wagon. She walked off towards a row of houses. Not particularly wanting there to be anyone there, in a way she hoped there was. She did miss the warmth of living beings. Finally settling on the fourth house down, Vivian knocked on the door. No one was there. The door was open and she walked in and surveyed the place. It was of course unkempt but livable. The kitchen had a few non-perishables which was a welcome sight. Vivian set her stuff down and went upstairs. "No bodies," she thought. This made her indifferent. There were many photos around the house, and she didn't need to see those smiling faces cold and lifeless. Outside, a shot fired a few yards out. Was this place even safe. Could she stay here for long? Maybe it was just someone hunting for food. She had to figure out.
She left the house and walked up the street. Trying her hardest to be quiet, Vivian scanned the street. Hiding behind a tree she looked around. From her point of view, she could make out dirty streets, overgrown plants, and people? Only, they weren't normal people, they were like her, gifted. "Shit," she whispered. She almost ran back, but something compelled her to stay there.

Ayden heard the shot and took off like it was the starting pistol at the begging of a big race. No way to be certain if the shot had injured them, best not to look back. He just had to hope that the girl would keep up and keep laying down a few shots for them to deal with. If they followed into the sewers, there was a ton of backup there waiting. If they didn't, a short wait till they left and then this could be over. It was a simple plan, and hopefully it ended with two humans still very much alive.
The terrain wasn't nearly as covered as he would like, but Ayden made do. He vaulted over what has once been a bus stop bench and ducked around a rather defunct looking blue car. It would shield them from view, though only for a moment. Hopefully that would be enough.
The manhole cover was still slightly ajar, and he tucked the club under a corner. With a grunt he hauled upwards and heard the unhappy squeal of metal as the thing moved The gaping mouth of the sewer awaited him, homey, comfortable after all this time. Only now did he look up to see if the girl was there.
"Climb in!" he barked to her.
No telling how close those gifted would be by now. They'd have both get in as fast as they could, then he could pull the thing shut and they'd be home free.

Maris felt her teeth rattle as she jumped down through the manhole. Climbing was for wusses and those who weren't being chased by an Angel from Hell and a giant Serpent. Shed fired blindly three more shots on her way to the manhole and had caught glimpses of the devil creatures following her.
When the man told her two climb in she automatically decided she didn't have time for that. Sewers were never very deep, and Maris estimated it was about only a story jump. Now what was waiting at the bottom for her to jump onto was what worried her. It was flat concrete, Maris was in luck, she had been trained how to jump from two stories, not quietly safely, but in a way that would minimize the amount of injury.
Her teeth clashed together as she bent her knees to absorb the fall. Her eyes wouldn't adjust to the dimness of the sewers but her goggles quickly switched to night vision so she could absorb her fall. The quickly took opportunity of the moment and pulled down her hood so she could reach her earpiece. Her red hair tumbled down and she pushed it aside to feel for her earpiece, her fingers were met by sticky blood. She moved the tiny earpiece to her good ear, cringing at the gooey feeling. Now that she could contact the Bunker, codenamed the Nest. She felt a little better about being in this dismal place.

Colton looked at them, the man had made it to the sewer pipes. Colton glared his eyes, "You not getting away that easy." Colton said to himself as he picked up his speed when he had shots fired at him they just hit him and disappeared like nothing touched him at all. "Alright Colton if you time this just right you can jumped just above the girl before she goes down and then grab the gun with you tail." He said making up a plan is head real quick. He looked back to see how the girl was doing but couldn't see her that well with his tail going everywhere. He notice that the girl had just stop, why what was she waiting for, was she going to shoot again. Well that not going to stop me, as Colton just through the air real quick right above her as she jumped down. Colton's tail didn't grab it but from what he heard it did hit it so maybe it had broke.
Colton landed on the ground then turned back into a human. He walked over to the sewer pipe they went down when he got close he stop and looked down at them. He didn't see the man but he did see the girl. Colton just stood their looking at her. Was aiming for the gun the right thing, after he did say he didn't want to hurt them. And well that was still true but maybe she though he was aiming for her. Colton ran his fingers through his hair, looking down at her one last time before walking away. He looked over at the angel girl and grinned. "Well they got away so I think Ill be off doing my own thing, plus I'm looking for someone." Colton said rubbing the back of his neck.
