Ayden glanced over his shoulder to make sure she was following close. It was far too easy to get lost down here if you didn't know where you were going, and it could be awfully dark if you weren't accustomed to the dark. Pinpoints of light dotted the floor in front of them from manhole covers and sewer grates like a trail of breadcrumbs leading out.
"This way," he said, gesturing down a narrower looking tunnel.
At her question, he couldn't help but chuckle.
"Well, where else would we live, up there? It's a mess." he shook his head. He pointed to a small puddle in front of them and made a motion to go around it. The water was cold and could be deadly to those uninfected. "The people who aren't infected," he continued. "Don't want to be near us so we don't spread it to them. Some have even been killed to prevent the spread. The homes are slipping into ruin, and besides, the glow eyes are everywhere. We're not exactly equipped to go after them. Down here? Well, we're on better ground. There are more of us, we're more used to being here, and they can't use the skies against us. It's pretty good shelter from...well...everything."
Here, he paused to smile at the sewers around them. Once they had seemed a prison to him, and he still often complained. But now they were home. They were safe. Still, the girl seemed very uneasy.
"It's not much further," he assured her, turning down a yet narrower tunnel. "Just a few more blocks then up a long ladder. You doing ok?"

Gritting her teeth, she looked over at the boy who moved uncomfortably close to her. Sidestepping, she smiled slightly "no, I don't think we have met," she stuck her hand out for him to shake, "but it's a pleasure" she was grinning widely now. Athena had perfected her skills of deception over the ten years of running from anything that could perceive who she was. She usually could easily fool someone into thinking she was someone else, but there were the occasional gifteds and berserkers that recognized her from the make-shift wanted signs that were posted up on a rare corner. And then there was the fact that after the Plague was released, the press zeroed in on the Diorio family, Athena and Apollo were put into an unwanted spotlight for being the daughter and nieces of two of the scientists who helped develop it.

Vivian didn't even want to convince the two that she was human, not after seeing them chase down the real ones. She was gifted and there was no mistaking that. The control over the spirits part one may argue that she was part of some Satanic cult, but not many humans could make others see what isn't there, as far as she knew. How would she convince the two younger people standing in front of her though? Maybe she could change her appearance to match the girl, or something along those lines. First, she would simply admit to them of her having abilities. "No," she said looking to Colton, "I'm not a regular human." Vivian waited for the response.

Colton looked at her. He hadn't seen her before he knew that but her name the wing. It was all something he knew from someone. Colton stared at her as he shook her hand. "Nice to meet you." Colton said looking away. He looked at the other girl. "Alright that cool." Colton said not really caring if she was one or not as long as she didn't try killing them. Colton scratched the back of his neck then ran his fingers through his hair.

Athena smiled, then she turned to the girl, studying her movements, or lack of. "A regular human? Then what are you?" Athena questioned, her golden eyes narrowing. This woman seemed not very trustworthy, something about her gave Athena a chill down her spine. The chill wasn't fear oriented though, it was the chill of anticipation of knowing what this woman could do. She seemed normal enough, but then again, the ones who looked normal at first were usually some of the most dangerous.

Vivian could feel the tension. Angel didn't seem to care for her at all, not that it was all that important. Now looking in an ambiguous direction that wasn't really towards either of the two in particular she said, "No, I'm not a human. I used to be, but not anymore. Something happened when I was young that changed me." Vivian paused for a moment to think about how she would word it. She said bluntly that she was gifted, but she had a feeling they wouldn't let her leave without saying exactly what she could do. "I can make things appear differently from how they are," she admitted. She didn't quite yet want to reveal her powers over the dead based on the fact that she never had complete control when it came down to it. Regardless, the gift she did reveal was a bit confusing merely describing it.

Colton looked at both girls then away from the one with wings. "Alright then." He said raising a eyebrow, she was trying to hid something from then and if it wasn't hiding she just didn't want to show her full powers yet. Colton glanced down then let out a deep breath. "Well I best be off." He said glancing at both of them before looking around at what house to go to.
